Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy

Jeff Hartman is an assistant professor of physical therapy at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He participated in the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and Meriter Hospital Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency in 2001 and received his Masters in Public Health from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in 2006. He also received a certificate in Global Health from the University of Wisconsin and has gone on to blend his physical therapy and public health backgrounds into an extensive global health resume. Dr. Hartman has international work experience in 10 different countries as a student, clinician, administrator, educator, and photojournalist with various types of medical and social justice organizations. He was instrumental in the founding of a community-based rehabilitation program in Southern Belize and has been a dedicated member and leader within the American Physical Therapy Association’s Global Health Special Interest Group since 2003.
