10th Anniversary Celebration: A Decade of Global Health Studies

Friday, May 8, 2015 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Please join the Office of International Program Development in celebrating a decade of the Global Health Studies Minor at Northwestern University!

In our tenth year of the minor, we’re proud to be celebrating our 500th graduate among this year’s class of graduating seniors! Together, let's celebrate Northwestern's global health community’s achievements in creating a leading-edge interdisciplinary program, unprecedented international partnerships, and a pioneering vision for undergraduate global health education.

Challenges that were once local are now global. Health disparities are entwined with such complex international crises as education gaps, gender equity issues, endemic disease, environmental dilemmas, hunger, and poverty. Becoming a meaningful actor in public health equipped with the skills to create sustainable, culturally-relevant solutions – at home and abroad – requires a multi-faceted education. Northwestern’s interdisciplinary Global Health Studies Program is designed to provide that to our students through dynamic coursework, a requisite international experience, opportunities for innovative research, and a supportive environment for growing leaders.

This reception is open to all faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members, but your RSVP is appreciated. Please email Chelsea Ducharme at chelsea.durcharme@northwestern.edu if you plan to join us!

Hors d'oeuvres & beverages will be served.
