Northwestern University cooperates with numerous universities, medical schools, and institutes around the world. The university is proud of these collaborations and the benefits they provide not only to Northwestern, but to our partners as well.
The university establishes agreements of varying depth, purpose and duration. Priority partners, those with multiple links to Northwestern, include Capital Medical University in Beijing, Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, Stellenbosch University and the University of Cape Town in South Africa, and Makerere University in Uganda. The strength of institutional partnerships with these institutions is particularly significant.
Equally as important, but with a more focused agenda, are the exchange partners. These institutions send students to Northwestern, particularly medical and graduate students, and also receive students to study at their institution.
